That’s not bad, but nothing beats free, right?
I want to take this opportunity to again thank folks for sharing the word, and for downloading the book. By the second day of the giveaway, your response exceeded my wildest expectations, in number of downloads and in making Amazon’s Kindle Top 100 Free list.
Sometime overnight The House in the Old Wood slipped back off that list, but it was there for three days, which is three more than I expected.
And for that, I thank you.

And this week only – here’s the surprise I promised you – the Kindle edition of The House in the Old Wood
But wait, that’s not all! I have a second surprise for you! It surprised me, too. If you buy the paperback version this week, you’ll be getting a special edition! You see, I checked my proof – electronic and hard-copy – pretty well. I checked the front cover. I checked the back cover. I checked the front matter, the back matter and the text. Ah, good to go!
Um … not quite. I never checked the spine. Not until I sat down this morning to write this, with the book lying on the table in front of me, and I looked up and read on the spine, The Hall of the Prohetess.
