I got mine! Now go get yours …

The Hall of the Prophetess
The Hall of the Prophetess is now available in paperback and Kindle editions from Amazon.com at the same low prices as Karia’s Path: $6.99 for the Kindle edition and $10.99 (list) for the paperback (though Amazon offers seemingly random discounts from the list price).

And this week only – here’s the surprise I promised you – the Kindle edition of The House in the Old Wood is free!

But wait, that’s not all! I have a second surprise for you! It surprised me, too. If you buy the paperback version this week, you’ll be getting a special edition! You see, I checked my proof – electronic and hard-copy – pretty well. I checked the front cover. I checked the back cover. I checked the front matter, the back matter and the text. Ah, good to go!

Um … not quite. I never checked the spine. Not until I sat down this morning to write this, with the book lying on the table in front of me, and I looked up and read on the spine, The Hall of the Prohetess. So rather than disrupt sales at this point, this week only, you can get your special “this author is a moron” edition.

This is a great time to get your friends reading the series:

  • Three books of the five book series are out
  • The first book is available free (through Friday only)
  • It’s a special edition! (this week only)

Like and share and tweet and email and all that stuff – please!

Oh, and buy your copy!

The Hall of the ProphetessOne day until the release of The Hall of the Prophetess, Book 3 of the series, The Day Magic Died. On Nov. 18, we’ll unveil the book … and a surprise!

If you’ve read Book 2, Karia’s Path, you know this is how it ended (spoiler alert):

She shook her head and decided not to think about that. She walked to the guardroom and ate, then helped Generality pack up the last things. She saddled the horses. She put the haversack over the pommel of her saddle and buckled the belt with the dagger at her waist. She slung the shortbow and quiver over her left shoulder. She tied Nebok off to Tsilinki’s saddle and climbed onto Tsilinki. She had Generality alight on her right shoulder.

A short distance down the road, she heard Generality begin to snore.

That made her smile briefly. Then, as she looked down the snowy road ahead, her face took on a look of grim determination.

“I’m sorry, Gerik,” she said. “I’m coming.”

Find out what happens in The Hall of the Prophetess!

But make sure you read these first:

Book 1: The House in the Old Wood

Book 2: Karia’s Path

The Hall of the ProphetessLast night I made a few final tweaks to the text of Book 3, The Hall of the Prophetess, and uploaded all the files for the paperback to CreateSpace, the Amazon division that produces print-on-demand paperbacks.

I then went to work on the files for the Kindle version, and I’m still working on them. I hope to have those done within a couple of days.

So sometime today, I’m expecting to hear back from CreateSpace, and if the message is that everything looks good to them, I need to “proof” the book. I’m hoping I’ll be able to do that online tonight.

But what’s all that mean?

It means we’re right on target for that Nov. 18 release of The Hall of the Prophetess.

I’ll keep you updated!

In the meantime, you’d better make sure you’re ready for Book 3:

The House in the Old Wood

Karia’s Path
